I have two friends who had a classic rig stolen locally in WA state in the past couple of years. Both instances the thief shows up with a flatbed trailer and winch. Pulled the car onto the trailer and they were gone. Classic cars are worth a lot of money for their parts.I'd be curious about this as well. Not just for the Dutch, but for here.
I also wonder what the rate of stolen classic cars are versus modern vehicles. Locking the doors on a FJ40 is basically pointless. Most cars are pretty easy to break into without popping a window, the 40 all you need is a stick and your in. 5 seconds with a hammer and a screw driver becomes the new ignition key. lol
I'm certainly more concerned about my 40 being stolen than my F350, but the Ford is easy to replace, I could likely have another one in about 2 hours.
My 40 took a lot of effort, and a mountain of dollars to get it to where it's at. So I'm a little more protective with it.
