Hello, I need help identifying this bushing without disassembling my front end. I found it on the ground under the front end when I pulled my LC out. It split down the middle. Its 2" across and tapers to 1 3/4" diameter and has a 1/4" hole in the middle where a bolt must run through it. I can squish the rubber with my fingers. Its original color is white. I suspect its from the suspension

I just checked the Turbo Encabulator diagnostic manual and song book; I believe that is the upper Dingle arm bushing. You are really lucky it's not the one for the lunar wane shaft. If that were the case you'd be facing excessive magnito refluxes.
So, I guess you've got that goin' for ya. Which is nice

So your saying there is a chance.

You said it was a bushing but you also said you could squish it with your fingers, so is it hard rubber or foam rubber? There are oval soft foam rubber "Packings" that fill holes where AC lines pass through in the radiator supports. And there are hard rubber bushings (donuts/cushions) that the radiator sits on and small rubber feet the AC condensor sit on, but they don't look like what's shown in the photos. Neither of those can be easily squished between your fingers however. Never seen a white grommet or hole cover/packing on the 80's, maybe the original color faded??

If it is foam rubber then it may be one of the plugs meant to close off a hole (to air/water) where the AC pipes dive through the radiator support
