Just Thursday the shop that rebuild mine told me bored/sleeved it 30 thousands. This was before I owned it that the work was done.

It's very block dependent... Most can go to 30 over without trouble, and I've heard of as large as 60 over, but you have to find the right block.

You can bore the crap out of it, you can go to like 94mm. With that much meat to cut why would anyone sleeve a 2XR?

The boss is right about finding the right block, sometimes you run into porosity & crap in the walls, but if you are gonna bore to run 22r pistons then they should clean up by then.

I ask them why they sleeved it they told me that is what the customer at the time wanted.
