What is the correct length on a 1976 Windshield

What is the correct length of the spacer used behind the big hand nut used to hold the windshield up on a 1976 FJ40?

Triead awhile back to find one to measure with no luck. I know of another 76 we could get measured if no one has one out.

Same as a '78? Mine are currently out. I'll measure when I get home in an hour. 4cm seems short.

Here is what I have. They are 1 1/2" long or 4cm.

I just want to make they are correct before I modify my soft top or have the hardtop cut down to fit my FJ40.5.

cool what is the diameter .or does it just have to be bigger than the hole .?

The ones I have are 1/2 ID.

I don't know if they are the correct ones though.

Has anybody tried 3/8" I.D. or just go with the 1/2" I.D. and call it good?
