I just removed 2F from my '83 Fj60, and the wiring harness, drivelines and tranny/t-case. Now I am building a castered engine cradle for the 2F (tonight) I would post a pic of my cradle when I finsh it, but I dont seem to have permission to load pics and such... not sure what the deal is.

Good ol' 'F' motor. Just like a Timex watch, takes a licken' and keeps on ticken'. Good start, now just needs some carb work to keep it running!

Don

Don,

Thank you so much for coming over and helping me get it started. I couldn't have done it without you! I'm about to pull the master cylinder and clutch cylinder off and replace them. I'll keep in touch with you.

pulled the steering wheel, the indicator switch mecha, and the bearing block. cleaned the bearing, re-greased it, and re-assembled. also replaced the rubber bushing for the steering column at the dash.

then, i pumped some synth grease into all the shackles.

damn column still squeaks and groans. now i gotta do the other side to see if it's there. 8^(

OK did tons of s*** today :)

Sorry for the photos, damn camera battery was dieing and the flash was all wonk, and then it started to sprinkle rain haha.

Popped the tail gate on ( have painters tape on the inside of the edges to protect the paint right now )

Bows installed, gas pedal etc.

The F.D. knob is a diff size thread than the cable, might have the incorrect cable, need to look into that :D

anyway, here are the horrible photos, looks much better, will take better photos on a nicer day with a full battery charge and better lighting :D

Back after issues with the family and their health. Bought the parts I needed to finish off the front. I have to buy the weatherstripping and windshield next month, radiator and exhaust the following month. Interior in May. I now have to work on a much smaller budget.

I know you're ready to get it finished.....You've been chipping away for a while........Hope it all goes well.......Post up what parts you need in the classified section and see what the mud crew can help with.....

Destin, In my opinion the rear bumperettes should be silver-grey like the front bumper.

I only say that because I am green with envy at the perfection you are achieving!

Looks great.
