Hi All:

Oh, this weekend I installed the new long-travel shocks in the rear, bolted-up the lengthened front drive shaft, re-installed the skid plate, and patched a hole in the "wind jammer" (rear curtain.)

Need to re-locate the front turn signals and trim the front fenders to clear the front tires (moved the axle forward about three inches.)

Regards,

Alan

Installed the new drive-train for the second time to check to see if the mocked-up body lift would give me sufficient clearance for the drive train. 1" on the nose and the height is perfect, whew!

As long as it was all mocked-up in there I finished up the x-member, and clearanced it for the front d-shaft.

Feels like this project is finally starting to come together :bounce:

Hi All:

Among other things this weekend I trimmed the front fender lips for better tire clearance since the front axle has been moved forward about two inches. Now I need to figure-out what to do about turn signals.

Alan

Since I'm still sans a front axle for my SOA, I tackled a couple of other to-do items instead. I installed my 4Runner master brake cylinder for my disc brake conversion. Went on quick and easy after I talked to Oldnslo and got a couple of clues. I then tackled the rats nest of wiring the PO left me and pulled out the partially installed Painless kit and what was left of the original harness. Now time to read the new and improved Painless install manual and get familiar with it!

Finished the hell creek 4 inch. had to go back and put the 4* shim in that my buddy found in the pass seat on our test drive:doh:

new u's in the rear driveshaft. Put that back in time and found my speedo problem at the same time (knot head po)

put it in the shop for a tune up, points, plugs, cap, rotor. adjust the carb.
I can built the :censor: motor trans tcase rewire the whole truck. but I can not
tune it. I am an old pro at getting out of tune:crybaby:

gion to see the truck doctor tonight to get my 35' and be ready for skyline.:steer:
