Sorry I've seen some people refer to difficulty level of a job as number of bananas from like 1-5 or on a scale from 1-10, how hard would you say it is to install the vintage air unit?

Ahhhh same page now. Just the ac probably a 5. It's a really good kit just read and install. Check your parts they didn't put in 3 little knob nuts but I had them the next day when I called them . doing a lot of stuff while she is down and work keeps me from spending a lot of time getting it finished.

Decided to finally fix the gas gauge. Found the sender unit wasn't working properly. Had to pull the seat off to get at the access hole for that, and as one thing led to another the entire roll cage was pulled out and the gas tank removed to clean around the top of the sender unit before removing it (previous owner used a lot of goop on it).
As one thing led to another, the whole inside of the pan was wire brushed and scrubbed down with phosphoric acid to get rid of loose paint and rust before putting another couple layers on.
It was previously (by another owner) sprayed with some kinda textured / rubberized material that I'm not taking the time to remove right now. Just spraying over it if the wire wheel didn't pull it up.

I'm thinking of heading down that-a-way in the next week or so. Good thing you remind me to make arrangements ahead of time. I'm dying to see it.

If you happen to find yourself around Missoula you should hit me up!

At one of my favorite places to stop and fish along this particular road, although I couldn't raise any good sized fish this time, like maybe folks have already cleaned it out.

Started bending brake lines. I have a 69 so I am switching system from the original m9x1 to m10x1. The old lines were showing corrosion in a few spots and had also been flattened from impact in a few spots on the frame and axels. So am going to swap out the system with new copper nickel lines. I also have a passenger brake union from a 60 series and have a 76 disk brake axle up front to help get the system to m10. As far as the rear axel, I am only going to reuse the m9 fittings on the rear brake drums but am switching the rear axel tee to m10. This will allow me to use the fancy new braided/extended stainless flex lines. More pics to follow as I make progress.

If you get stuck or frustrated, hit up @Rainman - he makes beautiful brake line kits.
