Finally got over my denial about that hairline crack in the radiator (yes, that one), so spent a few hours removing and replacing.

Out with the old (nastier than I expected at ~150K miles)

All shiny and new

I followed less than half of the steps in the manual (Remove the bumper? Seriously?). Probably could have spent the time saved cleaning up all the coolant in the engine bay...but didn't obviously.

I used to have lexus rx270 using it for 7years from 2015 Brand new until i sold it at 75k miles last week , other than usual maintenance (oil change, filter, etc) i have several issue such cooling fan died on 5th years and battery died every 3years. Also change some tierods and steer racks at 6th years. A week before selling it, the retainer/claps for the gas to engine fall down when i was in highway caused the car need to be towed.Simple issue but very concerning (this was the major caused of my wife asking new car)

so do you think lx570 2015 will 35k miles be much durable/reliable ?
Yes, simply put.

Slee second battery kit, redarc, made some wires, made a plate for the circuit breakers, installed a solar panel, etc etc.

I will probably remake the plate with something else like aluminum. In retrospect, I should have purchased the sdhq second battery kit. The slee kit limits me to a group 35 battery, whilst the sdhq kit would have allowed me to use a much bigger group 34 battery.

Hi everyone. Today I removed the 3rd row seats in my new to me LC. This is our second LC. The first one (2001) was named "The Bus". I removed the 3 row in the Bus within a week of purchase. I put the chairs on a shelf in my basement and they were stored there for 10 years. Never used. I installed them back in the day I sold the car. This time it only took 2 days for me to remove them. It is a pretty easy removal. The furniture is a bit bulky to handle once removed. I'm guessing they will sit on that same shelf until I sell this car. It would have been nice to get the car w/o ( and not pay for) the 3rd row seating. I'm guessing there is a few $1000 tied up in the 3rd row furniture. I know that I could have purchased the Heritage trim which does not have the 3rd row seating, but I wanted running boards and am really not a fan of the wheels on the heritage trim. I am not throwing stones, they just do not suit my taste.

I think we will call the new to me LC "The Beast".

What do you guys think of the name?

I did the EXACT same thing. I pulled the 3rd row seats out of my 2000 100 series and stored them in large contractor bags in the basement for not 10 but 20 years! I put them back in the car 11/2019 when I sold it and got my 2018 200 series leftover. Three guesses as to where the 3rd row seats are?

Too funny. Guess I'm not the only wing nut out there.

My wife informs me that the furniture was actually stored for 12 years not 10. That said, you still got me beat!

We are funny beings we humans.

Me too.. 2 sets 80 series and 1 set 100 series stored in plastic bags for decades. Like new installed when selling. So I paid more to get less on the new one. But not looking at plastic bags on a shelf!

Mine are in our storage unit doing the same thing lol.

I'm doing nerdy stuff of downloading info from Techinfo. Hard to believe how complicated things have become since my first car which was a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Bandit Edition. Sheesh, the Chilton's manual for that car was less than maybe 100 pages.

My muffler heat shield's rear mounting hole got warn out. I replaced the shield with a new one. I guess I could have put a fender washer on it.

I started it up without the muffler on to see how it sounded.. I was surprised how good it sounded. Wish I got a sound clip.
