Probably not the right thread, but anyone have experience with dinitrol underbody coating here? Guessing Fluid Film & other lanolin/DIY products are more popular, but just curious if anyone has a first-hand experience, thoughts, etc
Many different options but We really like Dinitrol products.
Just did these two Cruisers last week (2001 UZJ100 320k miles & 2017 URJ200 76k miles).
The level of protection and refresh it does to the undercarriage (and engine bay!) is amazing.

This looks awesome and appears to be the “set & forget” product I’m looking for. Is there any concern for servicing anything once the coating is applied? Or it remains malleable enough that your can still remove bolts, parts, etc?

One thing I don't like about the fluid film is the oily wet look..this looks pretty good.

Added CarPlay via a Hamilton kit and replaced the deteriorated steering wheel with a new one. I didn’t expect the steering wheel to be easier than the head unit removal. I broke a piece of trim around the drivers side air vent when removing that piece so I get to order a new one. But luckily that was the only problem.

Not just the look, but that it stays wet and messy

As close as a one-size-fits-all product I could find.
Case by case scenario of course, but the only thing needed is a good undercarriage wash and degrease and then apply when dry.

EVERYTHING stays as stock / OEM possible. Not oily, not thick, no intrusion, no heavy feel. It is like a ceramic coating that gets applied to the body panels. It dries up in about an hour (We let it rest overnight).

It dries up great and no messy / oily feel afterwards. No transfer while touching it and gives a factory satin look to all components.

Do you coat the KDSS valve? Or do you think marine grease, fluid film, etc are more appropriate for that specific application ?

Thanks for giving some insight; really seems like a worthwhile investment to help keep the LC on the road / fight off the rust.

After cutting access holes for the rear upper shock mounts and having rear hydraulic bumps stick inside by an 1.75", I didn't think i would be able to make the inside stock looking. I was wrong.

Lexified my buddies LC100 with classier LX570 20" wheels. 🍷

He's trying my spare set of 35x12.5 on for size to see if he wants to step up from 33s. Easy fit with some mild pinch weld clearancing.

Put the 33s from the 200 on the LX. Just need to find a set of center hub caps now. Spacers still on the shelf to see if I want the poke.

I didn’t know about #2 :)
But 33’s? Is there a number 3 or was that the street set for you ‘08 ?

Meanwhile I loaned mine to my brother while his gx is in for maintenance.

This was the street set of tires off the 200 and have been sitting in the garage. No need to swap back to these on that 200 so decided to fill the wheel wells a bit on the LX instead of riding on the stockers.

Seems like it has been quite some time since these fittings have been greased. The rear ds rear spider took 12.5 pumps, the rear ds front spider took 11.5 pumps. I'll do 10 pumps moving forward to avoid cleaning the spider gears.
