What did your Cruiser get for Christmas?

Mark,
You are correct, the 100s have a V8. The headers are a 4 to 1 design. Guess from the picture you can't see that.

Nice to meet you over at Lenny's house the other weekend.

4 in 1...makes sense...I couldn't see the "4" going into "1"...

Sort of. I have a mechanic friend down in Destin that is gonna help me install them when I can get down there. I guess a couple of more months of ticking can't make that much difference!!

Before you tackle the task of replacing the manifolds order new studs and nuts for the head as well as the flange. They have a tendency of breaking and the nuts are one time use. I have some studs left over from the last one I did. If you want them they are yours.

Thanks for the information. I would like the extra studs if you are not going to need them. I need to order some stuff anyway. Will add this to my list. Did you replace the O2 sensors while doing the job or just reuse the old ones?

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Was om vacation and did not have much access to the Internet.

I'd go ahead and get new o2 sensors that way you won't have to fight with them later down the road.

As much as I insisted in a set of mud tires for my 40, it did not happen.:frown:

we were sad at home since Santa did not bring us a set of tires.

...not even w/ the help of my lil' one Fernie!

He's so nice that he went ahead and put a set tires for dad's 40 on his christmas list! isn't this kid something to be proud of :grinpimp:

well since :santa: did not do much for me w/ the set of tires.

I went ahead and got me a detroit locker for my front dana 60! :grinpimp:

I received it during this week and today I went ahead and try to install it.

what a pain in the ass! that locker is a heavy mo-fo!

I usually wear globes when I work on my 40 since it's rusted and leaks oil everywhere.

Today I wore no globes and taking the gears and case out and puting the locker in got me a lot of cuts on my fingers and hands.

...that sucks!

This is the second time that I do this puting lockers w/ the help of my friends (real mecanics).

I learned a lesson, messing w/ gear and locker= globes

My friends make fun of me because I wear globes(mecanics dont I guess) but who cares.

any ways we try to set the locker in and later we realized that we needed the pinion bearing and race.

so we left it there till next saturday.

...to be continue!

What are "globes"?

Come awn John! You are supposed to let JP say something "smart ass" in response.

... s***! ....I didn't know we were going for purfect spelling here!:hillbilly:

gotta talk to Woody about adding the check spell feature.

...and if we have one, let me know 'cause I haven't seen it. :flipoff2:

Guess I will add that to my (evergrowing) list of stuff to buy before tackling this project...

yeap the good ole....compounding costs but it will be all done at once.

Ha ha Wouldn't really expect to be any other way...
