But they did say that I "could have a brand new, fully loaded, FJ Cruiser for less than $20K".

Is that a good price?
Should I go back and see if I can still take 'em up on that?

If that is true, I would buy 2 of them.

Paid MSRP two & a half weeks ago: $29,322.00 for 4704, 2JT, CQ, UP, 3T, CF, 98 dealer is adding DH for another $349 which is MSRP drove off the dealer lot strait to the tire shop, traded in the stock duelers for $40 credit and bought 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grappler ATs for $500.

I got mine day before yesterday for over $2300 off MSRP, $6300 off window sticker with the dealers $3999 markup. I had a customer come in to my work and show off his new silver Fj that he bought at Moss in Moreno Valley for $2K off MSRP, I called them and the fleet dept immediately matched that for me, when I stalled them for a week, they called & dropped it to $2300 off but sold the one I wanted. I hit up Gosch in Hemet and they matched the $2300 of MSRP and then some, and tossed in the VIP package with 4 free oil changes, 20 $1 car washes (great for the black) and other discounts and freebies. The experience was great for the sale, but I know from experience that their service dept sucks and tries to deny warranties whenever possible, so the service biz will likely go elsewhere unless they treat me the same as the sales dept.

MSRP/Dealer Invoice on FJ Cruiser

The best resource for a line-item detail of MSRP and Dealer Invoice on any new vehicle is Kelly Blue Book; www.kbb.com

For example, an FJC, 4wd, a/t (before DP&H) has a base MSRP of $23,300, and the Dealer Invoice is $21,990. You can see all the options/accessories with the same detail. Also, you can usually see if there are any dealer incentives,... a college student can get $400 discounted currently on the FJC.

When shopping, the MSRP that KBB provides is identical to the MSRP on the window sticker. You'll know what the dealer has in the unit, and can negotiate from there.

I had a dealer tell me yesterday that they would go $500 over Dealer Invoice on FJCs in-stock or enroute. That would be as much as $2,600 off the sticker, depending on options.

P.S. - Edmunds.com used to have the same info as KBB, but I noticed yesterday that they have abbreviated their detail, and don't indicate all the option packages and accessories.

And you didn't even say thanks for the tip. You can thank me next time I am in.

I certainly will! I'd go hit them up for a freebie because they offered to go lower for me.. it was Manuel in Fleet that quoted the deal FWIW. I'm buying Jons WE beadlocks, still deciding on tires, and waiting for the lift to come in from Walker Evans. The bumpers and sliders should be going to the powdercoater next week, just deciding between black or chrome powdercoat

Damn, I need to find these SoCal or NoCal dealers, for those kind of deals a 200 dollar plane ticket to fly down and pick one up would be nothing.

That's ok, I went by there today to get my oil changed and he only had one left. That one had a markup on it.
