Cleaned up the 60 for the summer.

Even with substantial trail damage she cleans up really good

Prepping for a 9 day road/camping trip through Appalachia to Nashville. Adjusted the valves for the first time. The valve train sounded fine before, and not many were out of spec, but now it sounds really great. Cleaned up the engine bay a little too by painting the air filter housing.

Also replaced the stock TREs and tubes as well as drag link ends and tubes. Steering feels much tighter and no more rusting components. I still need to adjust toe in, but I think I came pretty close on the reinstallation.

Next up is a full knuckle rebuild, new MC/calipers/rotors, and a new pushrod cover gasket. Hopefully I can get all that done in the next few weeks, though its more preventative than it is necessary.... Ok maybe the knuckle rebuild has been put off too long.

Attempted to replace my shocks but was only successful with the passenger side front. The top nub on the drivers side front shock tore off so I guess I'll have to cut it out. I stupidly started this without any PB Blaster, but the passenger front and back side both came off without a hitch so I figured I was good. Nope.

And I must have ordered the wrong ones for the back because they're not even close to fitting. Also one of the tension bands snapped during shipping so it would have been a PITA to get it on anyway. No big though, they were $20 each from Amazon.

Also made me realize how much I want to replace the stock springs. These suckers are FLAT.

p.b. blaster it's no match to charcoal lighter fluid.. 15 minute soak and ANYTHING will break loose.

Installed my new fridge. All that I need to do is run some power to it and add a lock. Oh and maybe tie it down for the bumpy roads.

Met some new local cruiser heads!

Worked with a friend of mine to replace the gasket on the EGR J-pipe. It is so much quieter now and the FJ stumble is gone.

Over the last week, I did the following:
Built an armrest for my ammo can center console.
Moved the CB to the center console.
Put a redneck fix on the hood lift springs.
Engineered and installed a new washer reservoir. (Uses stock pump)

@freepowder; brilliant idea on the washer fluid reservoir!

As for me, I replaced the front marker lights only to find out that the passenger side parking light isn't lighting up :bang:

replaced the Wix fuel filter / regulator after eight years of use. Nothing wrong with it, but rather preventative maintenance...
Took about ½ hr.

Thanks, It wouldn't have hurt to get it a little lower, but the jugs bend enough when the hood hits 'em. :)

As for your light, as always, blame the ground. ;)
