Are you guys getting full custom exhausts done? Mine is making a constant ticking sound.
I lucked into about 30' of 2.25" flex pipe a few years back. Made an exhaust. Made a snorkel intake. It last about 3-5 years in a exhaust system. Closest to the engine rust out first.

Factory non-turbo exhaust was 1 5/8" so I figure 2.25" is good after turbo. EGT's did drop a bit. 2.5" is a more common size for the $30-50 genaric turbo muffler at the parts store. I really don't think any diesel engine you'll put in a LC nees more than 2.5" Do what's necessary and then go larger for what is cheapest and most convenient. That's my thoughts anyway.

Noticed my 65A alternator was starting to struggle… especially at night with my regular lights, LED lights , AC , and powering my Holley Sniper. A buddy of mine got one of these for his LC and has been very happy with it so I figured what the hell…..

We drove through New Mexico a few weeks ago and on the way back got stopped at road construction at highway 180 and 78 waiting for a pilot car. The coolant temp started to climb while we sat with no air flow. Then I have noticed the same thing while while waiting at school to pick up the kids. So today I am servicing the fan clutch. Going let the oil drain out for a couple of days and replace with 10k CST oil.
