ended poorly on my behalf. Well, I was only pushing a measly 18psi. 25,000 miles and then my crank exploded. Godspeed @bj70bc I salute you and wish you the best22psi on a 3B-T, bravo sir. You are either brave or don’t give a flip![]()

I have done both with and without intercooler as well as DIY water injection. (Keep in mind that I live and drive in mostly flat places. Being a BJ73 with smaller tires and the engine under less load my boost and EGT's under normal cruise will be alot less than say someone with a loaded down troopy driving through hills with a sketchy cooling system. I may push 22-24PSI at full load in 4th gear, but It doesn't stay there except during acceleration. I watch the guages and lift my foot accordingly.) Running a 4" barrel type air to water intercooler does help keep EGT's from spiking, but it is not dramatic and my 4" barrel type intercooler is restrictive causing me to lose a few pounds of boost which is normal. The biggest difference with the intercooler is the EGT's do not go up and down with ambient temp. Without it they vary accordingly to ambient. If you don't have AC you may have room or it will be easier to mount a intercooler/heat exchanger in front of the radiator. There's a variety of options on mounting a intercooler that don't require cutting a hole in your hood, but do require moving things around.Yes... i was also considering those gears
with the 10% underdrive it would lower the load, and probably the egts, on the engine
are you intercooled?
yes, ive been following your thread.....ended poorly on my behalf. Well, I was only pushing a measly 18psi. 25,000 miles and then my crank exploded. Godspeed @bj70bc I salute you and wish you the best
Ouch. But you are not racing if you're not rubbinOn my way home from work today, some old lady who appeared to be late 70s or early 80s in a small car made a lane change into my lane a bit too early as I passed by her while going through downtown San Antonio and clipped my kaymar bumper. I followed her until she parked and got her info but she clearly seemed scared of the whole situation and probably should have her license revoked. She messed up one side of her bumper pretty good while it just rubbed paint onto my bumper.
The paint on my bumper from her car.

Nothing a rubber 3M wheel can't fix.

For sure. You were cruisin she was racing/rubbing an easy, slow opponentThe only racing I was doing was trying to speed up when I saw her start to drift into my lane but you know how fast these old 70 series can be.
Japanese visitors at my job bring some weird treats to work, some of which I can't get past one bite but these things are surprisingly good. Tire Candy from Japan. [/ATTACH]
I miss some of the different snacks I used to enjoy when I lived in Japan, every once in a while i would search the web for stuff
Which led me to stumble on subscription boxes sent to my door monthly, now I get my little taste of Japan again.
Three things I could not grow to love was nato, fermented soy bean, a few houses in the village I lived in Masiko fermented it on their roof. They smelt like smelly feet, those houses. Also the live little fish which wiggled down your throat.. Firm seaweed jelly konyaku was fishy too, apparently popular with teenage boys to add variety to just using their hands when doing the solo deed.I miss some of the different snacks I used to enjoy when I lived in Japan, every once in a while i would search the web for stuff
