Hey cruisers...

i'm trying to fix my 81 45lv out with OME lift - but im doing so in Oman, in the middle east - and the only OME dealer is through ARB in Abu Dhabi 9 hours drive away...and they will need to special order everything i need from Australia...and they are charging me like bandits for the shipping, so in the interests of saving me some cash - what are the bare necessities for the OME lift - clearly the springs [front CS002F rear CS003R] the shocks i can get there as they stock them - and im hoping to use my stock shackles...is this do-able? bushings i may as well get with the springs...what about the anti-inversion kit they say is necessary - what is it anyway? and is it possible to use my stock u-bolts if they are in decent condition?

thanks for the help team...

The stock shackles will work with the OME springs and bushings, so you can save some there.

I personally would not re-use the old U-bolts, but I wouldn't necessarily be stuck on the OME U-Bolts. Would a local shop have the right size U-Bolts in stock?

The Anti-Inversion tab on the OME shackles is just that--a tab that will keep your shackles from inverting if you get the axle at full droop. If you aren't doing hardcore wheeling, it won't affect you. Look for my thread in the 40 tech section for some pics of the OME anti-inversion shackle (it was titled OME 2.5" Install Questions)

You have an '81 45LV? I'm sure I'm not the only one who really, really wants to see pics.
