40 performed great. just need to install the bikini and soft doors next. Do I really need to drill holes in my windshield frame to mount the bikini brackets?

FWIW - I tapped those existing holes on top of the windshield frame for M8 bolts. I had to drill out the new channel, but it has worked just fine.

I'd wondered about this... that settles it, I'm doing it!
Did you use the aftermarket bestop channel?

Yes, I used the bestop channel but had to redrill the holes in it to align with the OEM window frame holes. I was going to use M6 Rivnuts, but went this rout first. I figured if the M8's pull, I'll go back with some M6 Rivnuts.
