Hi! I just bought a 1993 Landcruiser after my poor FJ was totaled. It was running really rough and erratic when stopped or in neutral. I just replaced the Idle control valve and cleaned the throttle body which was super sooty and nasty. Now the truck runs a little smoother, but when cold and out of gear it surges from 1k rpm to 3k rpm then back. When I put it in gear, the rpm drops to amount 1k and stays. Once the truck is warm, if I tank it out of gear, it jumps to 3k and stays, in gear it still stays about 1k. I am going to put a coolant temp sensor and tps in tomorrow, thank you for any ideas!
