I've seen that hood scoop on Mud before. Think the guy said it was from a Subaru.

I thought this rig was in the deep south though.

Maybe this is second sale.

that's nice
I do not know the seller.

my tacoma just got totaled.
kinda high miles though.

Yea I was assuming the engine was rebuilt, but I think I mis-read that. He may just have the SC on it and all original engine.

Why would you part out a taco that young?

Rust?

Doubt it. I would say wrecked frame but doesn't look crashed? Can't see parting out for a blown motor. Other guess is water damage, like got flooded. They're never right after that.

This Hilux is still sitting out there:

To go 4WD you could SAS it and swap transfer case . . . maybe transmission. Would need front axle.

What else? Would you have to steal or fabricate brackets to hold new transmission/tcase?

What if you got into a wreck with this thing . . wonder how hard it would be to replace a fender, etc.

I would recommend that you get the VIN and call your insurance agent to get quote. I have to believe it will be outrageous, as no parts are available if you ever wrecked it. So, full insurance is likely out.
Also, as it was never sold in US, I don't believe it can be registered here until it is like 25 years or 30 years old. Says it is titled as an Tacoma, so there goes the fraud word.

My biggest issue, that it is the 2wd and the weakest motor with 128k miles.

Yes, it is cool, but you would need to change everything to make this be an offroad star.

that motors barely bigger than the one in my matrix.. I can imagine with a headwind it'd go backwards.
