That's a huge help. Thank you! Any thoughts from anyone on what FIPG would be best to increase water resistance for any of the seams?
I used orange Toyota FPIG that I had lying around.
 
Found this while surfing. Just did a major overhaul of a VRS9500 which was seized. Back working again but a big job. If labor was paid it wouldn’t be worth it.

Saw lots of discussion about clocking drum brakes. No one has mentioned that the starting position is different on Warn low mounts less than & inc the 9,500 lb to the 10,000 & 12,000lb.

Here’s a sheet of notes I put on a 4wd website I blogged my 4wd stuff on about 20 years ago.

The brake is pretty important. It’s the only thing stopping you when you stop pulling uphill. Don’t screw it up.
