Hi everyone. Thanks for all the advice on a fridge, we ended up buying a super nice lightly used 37qt ARB from a fellow mud member. We have a line on a RTT but haven't purchased anything yet... looking forward to the Feb overlanding!
Thank you again for everyone for reaching out and commenting.

Here's the review. 2017 Winter Fridge Shootout - 4X Overland Adventures

Verruckt1 was nice enough to lend me his SnoMaster for a week.

On a side note Renogy has a new more compact solar suitcase. Less than 24" square when folded up and about 8 lbs lighter. Renogy 100 Watt Eclipse Solar Suitcase of course it costs a lot more ($399 retail)

Nice job on the write-up Chris. Thanks for sharing this. I'm hoping the new Renogy panel kit comes down about $150 or so as that would trigger my buy signal

37 is a great starter fridge. It's like a drug. Give the customer some for free and then they will be willing to pay. Started with a used 37 ARB just like you. Now Indel 51, and soon a ????

Works both ways I started with a 110. I thought it was cool to have the ability to hold 102 12oz cans. Now days my 80 runs a 50 and the 100 has a 43.

I think the Edgestar fridge is the same way. Start off with a nice scratch and dent at the right price and you're hooked. I will move up to something nicer once this one completely breaks down.

Get this thread back on track

New hard shell RTT from Eezi-Awn

Eezi-Awn Stealth Hard Shell Roof Top Tents | Equipt Expedition Outfitters

Like most Eezi-awn stuff, not cheap by a ways. I'm a little concerned about the metal on the outside, exposed to the elements and such, but I suppose the idea is that then the fabric is restrained and not billowing out when taking it down?
Like the ladder being stored outside the tent.
But, still looks they said "Hey, Alu-cab has a great idea, why don't we do something like it and charge more for it?"
If this was still the 90's and the stealth fighter was all the rage, they'd probably sell out in a week......

Compared to what is available Alu-Cab is a value considering a roof rack is not needed. Also if my top was made out of anything other than aluminum it would have damage and big holes in from the trail.

Yeah, not disagreeing there. I have their awning, but have yet to use it. Getting kinda itchy to try it out
