Would take 10% of the whp of a 3B to run that thing... Course you have a v8 in your 40...

Is it for your ambulance?

1300 engine rpm from what I understand.

Perhaps even 20-30%. Yes, standard emergency vehicle equipment.

They're hard to find, and stupid expensive... Unless you luck out and find one that an electrical shop ordered 4 years ago, and he just wants to recover some of his losses. At Ford, list price is $859 and no stock available in North America. Lordco, rebuilt is $395... No stock in their computer... Napa, ship yours off and have it rebuilt.

BRAE, $200+ for parts, $150ish for labor... Before it's taken apart and examined.

Just buy the one I have... http://www.jegs.com/i/Powermaster/713/47294/10002/-1

It was pretty easy to adapt (but I have electric vacuum pump). On a 2F it looks like it would likely bolt right up. Mine is dyno'd at factory at 160A. Doesn't need super high RPM and it isn't even close to 32lb... In all fairness though it isn't 215A ... but I don't need that :)

Who needs 300 amps peak... Or 215 amps all day... Winching would be something else :D

The 120 amp alternator I have was a direct bolt on and works great... Just dreaming.
