Hey guys, wondering what y'all thought about this. The LX450 was starting a little rough in the cold weather so I looked into it. Turns out the battery was shot. The PO put in a Walmart battery that still had a lot of warranty left. I took it to Walmart and they replaced the battery for free for me (very nice of them).

However, as the tech was backing the vehicle out of the bay and into a parking spot, she nailed a shopping cart. Of course I happened to see this all happen and have a few pictures of it.

What should I do?
A. Nothing
B. Speak to her manager and get it repainted/PDR

Thoughts?

If they do PDR, it'll be in better shape. Now, with that said, what about a repaint? Is the damage bad enough that it'll rust? What's the best plan of attack to keep same paint?

Okay, went outside to look at it...

It COULD just be plastic residue on the paint from where it bumped. I don't know if it really scratched or not...

I've never been a fan of big business. That's all I have to say about that.

Walmart changed out my tires years ago, a week later the hubcaps fell off. They replaced them all with new caps after I called with very little issue.

If there is damage, bring it to the attention of the dept manager, and see what they can do for you.

Yes you should have itt fixed or they should cut you a check to make it go away. They damaged your vehicle and they should cover it.

I have a coworker that his wife JUST BOUGHT a NEW Subaru and stopped at Sam's Club on the way home. When she came out, a cart had made the trek down the parking lot and into the front fender of her car, cracking a signal light and denting the fender.

Sam's stepped up for it and paid to have her car repaired without question. She was very delighted that they took care of it. Sucked that it was BRAND NEW an had to have damage repair in less than 100 miles, but good that they took care.

Definitely take care of it immediately (I realize this message is a month old...)

FWIW.

Forgot to update guys, Walmart was actually a joy to deal with and I really appreciate the manager stepping up. $200 and looks as good as new.

Glad to hear they stepped up. It's really the customer service after the issue that makes the experience
