I mounted everything under the hood. The evap vent valve is on the fire wall under the bundle of wires that I still need to clean up. Been too busy to work on it for the last several weeks. I'm home this week so maybe I can get some things done.

Thanks for posting that up bro!

Looks good and I'm sure the smog ref will appreciate seeing it there.

How's it running?

It's running great. I still haven't got it out for any long runs yet, though. Weather got hot and I don't have the air conditioner working yet. I'm a sissy! Getting a new OBD11 scanner tomorrow.

I'm out of town 3 out of 4 weeks of the month right now, so things aren't moving as quickly as I'd like, but I got a few things done this weekend.

I'm going to use the stock gauges, but wanted to have accurate oil pressure and water temp readings, so I installed mechanical gauges under the dash, old school.

I've got the gauges turned so that the needles are pointing straight up when everything is at optimal temp and pressure.

Last pics are where I tapped into the water pump to place the water temp bulb.

I've used Stewart Warner gauges in other projects. The older models are bullet proof. New ones I'm not crazy about

I don't have a neutral safety switch wired into the starting circuit, so it would start in drive, reverse, upside down and sideways! I fired it up in drive today and almost put a big hole in the front of the garage, so I put a relay into the circuit. Now I have to step on the brake pedal before the starter will work. Kind of like having to push in the clutch pedal to start a manual tranny equipped car. I can't think of any down side to this, but please chime in with any opinions, good or bad.

Quick update. I've got about 1200 miles on Toshi. I was able to pull a 12' enclosed trailer full of lumber and a wood burning stove over 11,300 ft Monarch Pass with no problems. Water temps started rising when I was pushing it, so I backed off to about 45 MPH on the ascent and the temps stabilized around 210 deg.

I drove it up to Saratoga WY last week for a fishing trip, and on the way back the engine developed a major misfire that would come and go. The entire 4 right side coils would turn on and off, like someone flipping a switch. I was getting some major backfires and I cooked the right side cat while driving it home. So it's back in my shop; when I get some free time I'll drop the exhaust, replace the cat, and try to diagnose the ignition issue. Right now I'm thinking its a broken wire in the harness or a ground issue. Any one else have any thoughts on this ?
