@Godwin chicken snake? Found this little guy in my wood pile today. His eyes were hazy so perhaps he was getting read to shed?

That's going to be an Eastern fence lizard. You should see more around with the rocks, trees, etc have around your house. This one is a female because her belly is plain. Males will have large bright blue spots on the belly and under the neck.
