I'm free the 30th as well. Even just a short day trip would be nice. possible camp out one night. wheel saturday and sunday.

I'm down.

not sure what happened... think the forum ate my last post!

Anyhow Im game for the 30th... maybe rally at the Food Lion on rt.33 before heading out. The earlier the better... maybe 11ish if thats not too early!

Peace
Neal

I'm going to try to make it down on the 30th, but it's questionable. Would anyone be interested in going back down the following weekend?

Bob, I'd be interested in Rausch Creek, but I can only do a day trip that weekend if any wheeling at all.

Thinking about it I could probably do the 30th. The 29th is my last day of work for the summer. I'm supposed to head to WV for 3 weeks, but maybe I can show up a day late and meet all you guys. Hmmm. Put me down for a tentative maybe :flipoff2:

11 AM at the Food Lion on route 33? Sounds good enough. Now is this just for a one day trip or camping out one night too?

For those who plan to camp, check the weather. I just spent this past weekend camping at Hone Quarry a few miles south of 33. The heat and humidity made sleeping pretty tough.

11 am works for me. I don't plan on camping because I have a bunch of other stuff to do that weekend but I shouldn't have a problem coming out with all of you guys.

Felix,

Rausch Creek is too far for a day trip so GWNF would be a better choice for you that weekend. The Pig Run at Rausch is August 19 and 20 I believe so you have a little more time to plan for that one.

Just a day trip works for me as well. i was up there a few weeks ago. its pretty nice. Any certain trails in mind? i recall the trail i did was meadow knob, i think. its was pretty long but nothing really hard at all. Someone who knows the trails better then i can add some input though. im just rambling

Also,

Felix, bob, tony...if any of you guys are looking to ride down together lets get something worked out. We could do the marshall Mcdonalds again if that works.

Cool... If there is a rally at the food Lion and you all want to have a late lunch (even campers) Im about 12mi from the trail head just past the newholland dealer! We can fire up the gill and do some hotdogs and burgers!! Beer for the 21+ crowd, byo... of course cause im poor, but facilities are good.

Peace

Ok, talked to my parents and it looks like I'm a tentative yes now. Brandon, what time are you thinking about leaving? I'm coming from Rockville and will be driving out 66 to 81 South. If you guys go that way, maybe I can meet up with you. I'm planning to wheel for the afternoon and then push on to Snowshoe afterwards to meet up with everyone.

Ary

Ary....I-66 to 81 is how i would go too, if Apcoleman, Felix, and 76fj40 come along, thats most likely the route they will take. I live 3 miles off exit 27 on I-66(marshall). On exit 28 there is a Mcdonalds/amoco where i could meet up with you and anyone else. H-burg is probably 1.5 hrs away so we would want to leave marshall by 930.

How bout this, anyone from No-VA...lets meet at the Marshall mcdonals at 9:15 on saturday the 30th

Sounds good?

I might be down too. :D

Looks like da badlands is gonna have to wait. :crybaby:

apcoledick your truck gonna be running? 3rds and all.

Anyone wanna post up on a trail recomendation? I know the area fairly well but haven't found anything too challenging...

Chris
