I am missing something on the relay for the lights.

I should say that every alarm has different wiring colors but the name for functions are similar, so I think something is lost in translation….

This is the instructions from the other thread.

pin 87 goes to ground

pin 86 goes to 12v constant fused

pin 30 goes to the light retainer relay, (green relay behind relay block) red/black wire tap in.

pin 85 goes to dome light output (negative) of alarm harness AND something else?

a little help pls

A shop installed a viper keyless entry for my LC80 a year ago. to cut story short it was working perfectly until i check the fuse box inside the car bec my retractable antenna stopped working( another story :( )

anyway i noticed a red and yellow wire sticking out , one was connected to a fuse ( wrap on the metal part) and the other one to another fuse. so i said this does not belong here, and so I cut it without taking a picture.--- that killed my keyless entry

my question is where to i connect the yellow wire, and where will i connect the red, i totally forgot where it was connected before.

side note i tried connecting them on different fuses ( like the way i found it). yellow to ignition, red to wiper? etc, did it randomly until the remote flashes non stop when lock or unlock button is pressed. earlier when i was trying to figure the connection it flushes 1 for locked, 2 for unlocked-

did i toast the brain/ module

my plan is buy same product and just plug it in. do I need a vallet program button to program it? the same shop is asking for $85 minimum granting nothing is toast.

thanks in advance

I gotcha. The wires you cut were the constant power (red) and the switched power (yellow). So, the red should be connected to a fuse that has power even when the truck is off and the yellow should be connected to a fuse that has power only when the truck is turned on. I think you can connect the red to "ignition" and the yellow to "radio" and it should work. Connect it that way and see if it works.

I doubt you screwed up the module. You can reprogram it yourself. To do that you'll need to find the valet button. It's a little button on a wire that should be coming from a blue port on the module. The manual to program it can be found here:

http://pdf.ampire.de/viper/N412V_01-05.pdf

Do the TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER LEARN ROUTINE on page 12 first. That should get your key fob talking to the module. After that, set up your options how you'd like (pages 9-12).

Thanks again Darkness.
