This made the Vancouver news this morning. You'll recognise the Helmcken overpass... then Thetis Lake a second later.

I'm no computer nerd but if this guy uploaded this from his computer he's going to get roasted right?!

Must admit... back in the day I spent a bit of time going this fast but not in the middle of the day in TRAFFIC! Sure as sh!t never posted it for the world to see. I like passing piggies in the 60 and never having to worry about speeding.;)

victoria highway run 299km - YouTube

Lane splitting... Stupid comes to mind.

I'm constantly amazed how often Facebook aids in catching criminals... not so much that the cops (and everyone else) uses it as a tool, more rather the tools that use it.

Even with the privacy cranked up I notice that any time anyone makes the news and they need a pic.... Voila a picture that looks much like a profile picture! Too easy for the reporter.

Rant over this guy will will get caught by the weekend.

jesus. that's retarded...

I found myself hoping someone would open their door..but he obviously survived to post the video.

Ever see that youtube vid of the turbo hyabusa? Deeply stupid as well.

Cops would love it if it was on facebook. That's what the site is for...gub'ment tracking it's little worker ants/tax slaves activities. ( need a tinfoil helmet smiley...)

Fake Youtube account, fake Google+ account, done on a laptop while connected to free Wifi at McDonalds. Untraceable. Unless they had a suspect and got a warrant for his laptop. Unfortunately... though maybe we'll be lucky and he'll do it again, hit a concrete barrier at 200mph and die.

Id be worried if I was him that someone would recognize the bike. I'm sure someone who's a crotch rocket expert could pick out the model and year...

narrow that down to how many are in vic...then how many have a weird looking cupholder-esque reservoir thing sticking up at the front...starts getting down to a low number.

And I bet his driving record has a couple blemishes...

You really think that will make you untraceable if they really wanna find you? Sure there's a lot of things you can do to avoid digital detection as you mentioned using free wifi and spoofing mac's and such. What I'm saying is that for guys dumb enough to post video's like that I doubt they're using spoof'd macs or anything else. Also if you can track it to a time/place at a mcdonalds they have security cams :)

Not across the road they don't And yes, one can get reception from there :hillbilly:

I'm not condoning this idiot or saying he didn't make any mistakes. I'm for one hoping he wasn't smart enough and they bust down his front door. But I am saying it's not too difficult these days if you know what you're doing...

brave dude to do that on this rock.. not to many places to hide around here.. and the way people drive around here i am surprised he pulled that off without being scraped off the road...

That s**t was crazy.

I showed the vid to a few guys at work, they told me there use to be a guy in Europe named "Ghostrider" that posted a bunch of vid's on youtube doing the same thing 300+km/h (lane-spliting and hitting the corners hard).

They think he's dead now.

Police say the woman's son has more than two dozen traffic tickets for issues such as speeding and not having a valid driver's licence, and the motorcycle was not insured on the day the video was shot.

Looks like you were right Stephen!
