Bump this old thread back up....need to organize another trip next summer..

In speaking with the guys, we thought it best to camp down by the river

...take a day run and go up to the lake for some fishing and relaxation..?

I know its stupid early to post it, but might give some people a lot of time to prepare..


Every year I swear I will hit the Rubithon or Moab, never the money or time to do either, thought this might be a fun island run once again..

Great idea Rob, thanks for getting the ball rolling. I'm in for sure! Camping down below is a good idea, especially if we get more cruisers. Lots of trails to explore around there too.

Yep, lets do it, figure a time and hook up my little Trillium...maybe take a kid or wife with me.. My baby girl has grown board of the vw so we are currently working on a deal for a 1988 extra cab sr5 original owner pretty much rust free for her(or me) in the drier parts of Oregon.. ..

I would guess well over your hood, probably closer to roof line..

So snorkel safe? HaHa! probably wash me into the lake!! Although that's probably what it will take to wash the road salt off my truck!
