bj42 hardtop wanted
Hello I am looking for a hardtop for my 81 bj42..it doesnt even have to have the windows in it, just the basic shell as its for a project I want to start...Thanks!

Need -- 24v horn from a bj42/60
-- 2 hood hinges 40/42
-- rear bumperettes 40/42
-- 2 hood hinges 40/42
-- rear bumperettes 40/42
I think the horns are the same, just wired in series, so 12v horns will work. Not 100% sure of that tho.
I'll look and see if I still have some bumperettes. If I do there's one minor flaw , they're both from the same side...
My 12v horn on the 40 is 1 prong and 24v horn is 2 prong and when you put 12v through the 24v horn it sounds sick.
Cruiser pilot has one, he is by the nanaimo airport...

I know I bought two from some a-hole in nanaimo a couple years back that ended up the being the same...I'd thought these were them....
So, either we had 4 that were the same or we could've BOTH had a proper set...
So can i make 2 right's work with a BFH?
Yeah, pretty much...
one side is sorta straight, other has an "s" bend when you look from the top...
I contemplated straightening the one side in a press and then tweeking the other, but it got pretty low on the list.( hence finding them in a pile of junk long after I sold my cruiser...)
Other option I considered, was to just make a cut on the bottom, then flip and reweld the different piece on top. ( that'd make sense if you were looking at a bumperette...)

Hmmm... I remember staring at them on the back of the truck and realizing they were both one side... I assume you either got them or I didn't take them off since they were the same... either way only the lucky remembers.
