Do you guys ever have issues with all the offroad shaking and vibration working your power cables (eg. battery to starter) slightly looser, or grounds imperceptibly looser, possibly increasing resistance (reduced contact?). I'll look into this as well the next time we get under there

Both my 2 wheeled contraptions do this. I'm in the habit of checking them regularly now before a ride. But never had the problem with Landcruisers

Hey, sorry to dig up and old thread but I’m having the same issues at the moment. Mechanic had a look and said the diesel s*** off solenoid on the injector pumping has a small leak from the thread and says that’s the issue but he can’t get the part so he said basically do it myself. Just wondering did you ever over come this issue you had?

Well well,
My 1995 Hd-ft starts great when cold.
I've tried a few things, but the constant cure is throwing, snow, water, or beer over the fuel solenoid. Works every time.
My glow system is manual, engine hot so probably not the issue.
I don't want to pull the IP, so a liquid drenching for now.
Something stupid going on because when this happens the engine turns slowly even with two good batteries, throw the liquid on the solenoid and she fires over fast and furious.
BTW 79 series in hot underground mines also have this issue, guys are now following my solenoid drenching technique.
