Valve Cover Color

I'm working on a 1974 40 and am in the process of sandblasting the valve cover headers and intake manifold.

The headers I am getting ceramic coated as for the valve cover and intake manifold what is the stock color supposed to be? I have the 1.5F engine in mine.

Valve cover was black

Intake was natural ... No paint

I'd swap the valve cover for an early 2F valve cover for a tighter seal and no leaks... unless you're doing a true show quality restoration.

I just put on a new gasket on the valve cover and it is seated good for now at least. If it starts leaking again I will definitely switch over!
