Using Techstream

I just installed V18 on a laptop running Windows 11 with tech support from the seller of the MiniVCI on Amazon.

Some questions and some things I have been able to do so far.

• Reset auto-locking so that doors do not automatically unlock when put in park.
• Turned off the daytime running lights!!! Yes! That alone may have been worth the price.
• I was not able to turn on all windows down with key fob. My 2004 LX had this. Is it not available on the LC?
• Is there a repository of how-to's for using techstream? I do have a full set of workshop manuals that I haven't looked at yet but I'm guessing may have some info?
• Is there a way to program the maintenance reminders on the screen and /or reset the "maint req" light on the cluster?
• What is "Hood Courtesy Switch"?
• What is "Glass Sensor Detection"?
• I didn't get a picture of it, but my front AHC pressures were 9.6 in normal. Yikes! I think some reindexing is in order (I have a new set of globes sitting in the garage waiting for my wrench also).
• Where do you and how do you program new fobs / keys?
• Should I run the "check connection" to ensure the cable does everything it should? It seems to be working.

It may depend on the year of your LC also. Older ones had less customizations available.

I was not able to turn on all windows down with key fob. My 2004 LX had this. Is it not available on the LC?

My 2003 LC does not do this, a feature I miss from my old VW.

I’ve been using the Virtualbox ( FAQ - How-To: TechStream In 5 Minutes - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/how-to-techstream-in-5-minutes.1034923/ ) set up but haven’t done much besides when I needed to scan or check something.

There are threads here about setting up keys buried here somewhere. I use a standard search engine and force it to search only this site, then use “100 series <insert question here>”

I've been wanting to get tech stream because I want to disable the back up chime and the Japanese greetings, but I don't know if any of these versions work for Japanese cars
