mine's a simple CNC cut steel plate. To make a duplicate of the original with all the recesses and such would require a three dimensional
plate about 3/4" thickness overall. Milling it out of a higher grade plastic or aluminum would be possible The programming would be time consuming. I think Toyota knew this when they priced the stock plastic replacement at 400.00 + dollars. Lucky for us it's an overstock item
so the price is reduced 175.00.

We must be talking about 2 different things. The part I thought you meant was this

Were you seeing it on Cruiserparts.net? They have good used ones for about that price, $45 for ones that have some minor cracks.

Nice.
That's a nice small one.
I mounted one at the back of the center console for my RF stereo along with a Blue Sea 12V plug.

Toyota Parts Overstock (.com) has all the drawings and part numbers and a price which is really nice, but their website does not reflect current availability. It is not kept up to date for the most part. None of the dash stuff, or interior stuff is available any longer, yet their site makes it seem like it is. Same is true with tons of other FJ60 stuff that seemingly is "available" on their website. Their website makes it look like you can buy it, but when a query is sent, more often than not the response is: Discontinued by Toyota.

The name of the company (Overstock) is just a name. They are not a big warehouse of NOS parts that were bought up and have been squirreled away. They do not stock FJ60 parts. They get FJ60 parts (what's left of them) when an order comes in, from the regional Toyota warehouses just like everyone else.

Funny to see this thread resurrected. Here's a pic of what I did a few months ago. Best cheap upgrade I ever made to my 62, and modernizes it considerably. Took a little trimming and filing to get that perfect fit, but it looks almost factory and works awesome. My phone is fully charged in about 40 minutes of driving with the QC3.0 standard.
