I was telling :princess: Bronco would be a good trip to do soon. Then we saw a bunch of buggies at the Chevron station that were heading up to Bronco.
There should be some post on reno4x4 or rockgods soon.

No No No these guys were in full on competition buggies. They were heading to Upper Bronco thats past the point where we bail out and head up to the line road.

But lower Bronco is a nice run, the trees should be getting some color soon.

BTW Dan, your rig would have no problems with lower Bronco.

I want some of whatever you've been smok'n Dan. No way any hundy short of Christo's SAS 100 is getting through even the lower section of Bronco (unless it's been heavily modified/smoothed out since we were all there last spring). Keith's 62 yes but not my low-rider ;).

It's going in tomorrow...hopefully he'll be done with it on Wednesday.

Dan (spresso) you would be fine in Lower Bronco. It is pretty wide and there are lots of lines to choose from, Ned Bacon took his Tacoma through there with 31s a few years back.

I don't know who was up in Upper last weekend, I saw Shaffer and Ned down in Southern California at the Off Road Expo, so it wasn't them. Maybe the Trent Fab crew...

Uh...we were in lower Bronco last winter/fall. After the creek/tree area you have about 1/4 mile or a little better of a boulder field to negotiate. Don't really see anyway to get a 2.5" lifted hundy through this part (if we're talking about the same locale) even with 35" and a better driver than me :D.

Dan J and Shawn crawled through this section with their 40's...

That is the same section I am talking about. Maybe it is worse in the winter, I was down there in July in my 4Runner and did not have any real issues (beyond a slightly burnt clutch).

Then the line has definitely changed through there!

Shawn and I were looking for tough lines, remember I was flexing my rig out for the first time since the SOA. If you looked for the easy lines they were there too.

What up DOGS!

Hey I was wanting to know if the Eldorado and lower bronco cyn's are ok to run in a 80 series with 33's

Im asking because some local yokals want to head up 11-17-07 - 11-18-07.
Before I weigh in I wanted to check the waters.

Thanks,
ken

Oh yeah feel free to move this.

Yeah sure. Just be sure to bring plenty of recovery gear this time rock hound :flipoff2:. Seriously...I wouldn't do it in my hundy with 35"...the long wheel base, I think, kills it for me. I'm not that good in the boulders yet...but a better driver could probably break through it alright. But I'd like to watch you run it at any rate.

We should get NorCalDoug to run it in his lowrider. He did harder stuff on the Rubicon.

Bronco Canyon is a short trail with a long drive over cobble stone roads to get there. You might be okay but it would be a long drive to take to find out it was not a trail you were up for. I give spressomon s*** about doing the trail, but he is right it would take some skill to get a LWB through it w/o body damage. IMHO you guys would have more fun on Jumbo Grade or Hunter Lake.

Eldorado is fine for a stock 80 or even a 100. Jack did it in his 80 semi stock last year. We even had a stock Chevy 4X4 Pu on that run. There are essentialy two trails, one through the creek bottom and one that skirts the side of the canyon. The nice thing about that trail is it's great for a mix of built and stock/semi stock rigs. The built rig can play in the creek bottom and the rest of the crew can follow along the side.
