I just had great barn find. Two brand new steal Toyota front fenders still in the box.
Only one of the boxes were opened the other still stapled shut!! The question is 'how do i seperate the upper fenders from the lower and attach them to my new fenders? Any help would be appreciated. Mike 1976 fj 55

Why separate them? Why not just unbolt the old fenders... wait... I just realized, you probably have lower fenders in the box you want to attach to YOUR uppers. Got it.

yea... Mine were bolted/rusted/spot welded together. Drill, cutting wheel, wire wheel, then primer, bolt back together (new hardware) and I welded mine back together (a single bead along the outside) then smoothed with filler and painted. They'll probably crack and fall apart now, but I didn't fully understand the reason they come in two parts.

God luck... more pics!

Do you have the part numbers? I'd like to try and run them here.

slow resto project pig made its way from Texas to Michigan. drove it for 5 years been in the pole barn on jack stands for 8 years. found a 79 pig for small parts good dash, factory p/s, and good door panels.

These are the 1996 part numbers when you could buy them for $189.44 each from the dealer. I have the POs receipt from when he bought my set.

Nice find Mike. If you have trouble posting pics just send me an email with attachments and I'll post for you. Just PM me. Dave

Yep, I'd love to see pics also, if you get a chance. Nice score by the way.

Can they still be purchased from a dealer somewhere???
Howdy! I heard a RUMOR that they were Unobtanium about 5 - 10 years ago. I bought mine about 15 yeas ago for the PS, but I Bondoed the DS. Now I am tearing it out ad trying to redo it all with steel. I have the inner brace completely out, did the weld/grind,weld/grind,weld/grind until I had all the rust and holes relplaced with real steel. I have one more grind to do, and then I attack the fender skin. John

I don't believe so... but I have been hoarding a pass. side OEM fender for years. Always hoped I would find a driver's side as well and then intall them both. May be a pipe dream...
