Alright, I just called the Ohio BMV and had them look up the title number found on the VIN lookup. It seems like that was the person who bought it off of my dad in 2011 for $2800. That title went from July 2011-May 2019. So the timeline now is just My dad->someone who restored it and either owned the dealership/just traded it in and it sat on the showroom floor for 6 years->being sold to someone, which I would assume be someone in Indiana because that’s where the dealership is.
I also tried calling the Indiana BMV. They weren’t much of a help and basically told me I have to fill out a Certified Records Request form for I think $4. I guess that’s my next logical step. If anyone has any better ideas I’m more than open to them!
