Uga 1965 fj45

Here is MY 1965 FJ45 that has been sitting in my garage disassemebled for over a year. I have left it in 10,000 pieces to make it have less value to the divorce lawyers...with that out of the way and now living a wonderful and free life I can put her back together. Here are some pics of my starting point.
Off we go....

I will post a few of the 400 pics I have of disassebly when my Star comes through. I now place myself in the eyes of this great mudless community.

The rims are now gray and the toolbox is probably gonna get dropped for a PTO that I harvested off another Cruiser. But the toolbox is really cool and will probably go onto my 40 when I
re-redo it.

post up in the wanted section...you will be able to get one of those knobs...i used to have them at a cruiser friends house...he cheated on his wife and wife sent all his cruiser stuff to the scraps along with a corrugated top and doors that i had there

Got the turn signals mounted.

I got a bunch of questions!

Was there a gasket that goes here between the paint and the filler neck?

Is this the correct grill? Emblem? They do not seem to fit(loose) with the 2 bolts I ordered from SOR.

Does a gasket go between the body and the vent?

Grill looks correct.

Yes, there is "PACKING" for the fuel neck: C - 77293-60010

Can not find the vent in my book.. Sorry...

Brake Fitting Restoration

Has anyone tackled these fittings? I thought I had done a good job but they are already rusting/corroding!?! Any suggestions? Coatings...polishes...???
Its in the bottom right of the pic with the brake lines.

They are brass or some other softish metal, will the cad stick to it?

You need to buy or make this clip for your toyota emblem to fit tight.

Got one seat finished! Progress however slow is progress.

I spent the last few visits to the garage cleaning up. I got tired of looking for tools and parts. Now I have room to move...now if I could just find a place to start! There is so much to do that I cannot seem to get focused and when I do decide to do one thing I find I am in need of a cleaner/newer part and have to order them.

Are those "original TSL" tires? What size are they?

I would update your brakes to a dual circuit while you have things apart---could save your rig and your life down the road. Mark's Offroad has a kit.
