That's slick as s***.

Can you put the pressure fitting anywhere in the pressurized oil system on LS motors or is there a specific spot?

There are a couple spots where there are plugs directly into the oil circuit on the pressure side. I just chose the same one the guys that originally built this system used.

I have seen those pressure tank systems as well Ramon and considered one. I preferred the set up I built because you can use a couple gallons of oil and just keep it circulating while you slowly spin the engine with a bar on the crank nut. I have maybe $70 into it. If you have an old pump laying around, lots cheaper.

Made adapter sleeves today for my shop made screw jack stands. Now the different feet for the lift can work with the screw jacks. Adjustable from 28" to 42"

Passing along what I thought was a good deal from a friend of mine in FL out to my ONSC bretheren.

Free Dewalt DWE402 Grinder With Purchase of Wheels

If you have zero grinders, here's a good deal with some disks to get you started. If you have one grinder, you in fact need two. If you have two grinders, you in fact need three. If you have three, you're gonna end up needing four pretty soon, and so on.

Having multiple grinders allows you to save time switching disks out again and again, from grinding disks to cutters to flap wheels (of different grits) to wire wheels, etc. This particular grinder has great reviews through Amazon and is a bit heavier duty than what you typically find in ACE hardware and the like. I just bought one and am considering buying a second (grinder only) through Amazon.

Here's what's included:

DW8062B5 Cutoff Wheels qty 2 boxes. Total of 40 wheels
DW8250 40 Grit Flap Wheel Qty 5 Wheels
DW8251 60 Grit Flap Wheel Qty 5 Wheels
DW8252 80 Grit Flap Wheel Qty 5 Wheels
DW8253 120 Grit Flap Wheel Qty 5 Wheels
DW49255B 4"x 5/8" Stringer Wheel Qty 6 Wheels

You will get all of this and a FREE GRINDER (DWE402) for $165 (plus shipping)!!

Couple more pics. It's Hypertherm's new Powermax 45xp. I had been on the fence for a year or so and went to buy a month or so ago just to find out they were releasing a new model at the end of September so I held off.

Very similar to the previous Powermax 45 but the new version cut's thicker, is more efficient, has a gouging and marking function (not that I anticipate using this) and now uses a Duramax lock torch. I hope to do some cuttin this weekend if the rain ever ends!

What's max cut and IPM on that bad boy?! Nice score!!!

5/8" - 20 ipm
7/8" - 10 ipm

Severance: 1 1/8" - 5 ipm

I tried it out yesterday for the first time and it's like magic!! Push button, cut metal...freaking crazy!

1 1/8“ severance!?! Jesus!! That's more than twice the capacity of my machine! Nice score man!

I normally don't rave about things like this, but these welding gloves are miles above the rest. I've tried about 10 different pairs, but thsee take the cake.

Thin and flexable, yet heat resistant and durable.

Are those MIG/stick gloves or TIG gloves? I'm about ready for a new pair of mig gloves.

I use them for everything... Not sure their intention.

New tool!! Needs cleaning and refreshed but it's actually in amazing condition under all the years of 'experience' (grease)!

WAY too cool!! Congrats my man!!

Are you going to pull it all the way apart like with all of your other projects or are you just going to use to a surface clean and get used to turning parts?

Very jealous. I'll need to come by once you get the lathe running and droll on it for you. Decide on a VFD vs phase converter yet?
