Would have much preferred to be there! Spent ALL day sitting in a hot gym watching wrestling.

Glad things went well.

We got the truck tore down, so I can get parts ordered. I'll schedule another work day when we are ready to put it back together.

Roger,
I have alternating Fridays off, so if you have parts and it looks like you would want some help on a Friday, check in case it is my off Friday and I could help.

Also, there is a business in Augusta GA that refurbishes surplus 6x6s for the civilian & foreign markets. They may also be a source for the transfer case if you want to compare prices/availability.

Thanks

Could you please get me their phone number, the source I had is out of rebuilt T-cases and does not expect to get any more.
Thanks

Roger,
The company I was thinking of is

SECO Incorporated
http://www.secoaugusta.com/
phone: 800/SEE-SECO [800/733-7326]
sales: sales@secoaugusta.com

However when I searched for it, this is a company that popped up that I had forgotten about

White Owl Parts Co.
http://www.whiteowl.com/
phone: 252/522-2586

I hope this is helpful. Good luck.

Thanks Larry,I'll give them a call to day.

Thanks Larry, SECO was the low bidder on the parts. Not getting a rebuilt case, fixing the one we have.

Roger,
That may not be the desired answer, but it sounds like a solution. I have been to SECO several years ago looking for 1/4 ton trailers. It is not far from the interstate and fairly easy to find. More details to follow I bet.

Thanks for the update.

I am making slow progress on the small repairs due to daily driver issues, but should be ready to put Trans and T-case back in on Saturday Feb. 23. Anyone available to help?

Roger,
Sorry that weekend is a fully booked for us (1st soccer tournament of the season). The following weekend isn't much better because Melissa has soccer and Carolyn is running a 10k in the morning.

Please keep us posted because you can't be putting her back together solo.

I should be free again

Todd/Matius
Thank you, I'll be at the shop by 9AM so come over when you can and I'll grill some burgers for lunch.

I'll be there...We have several things to discuss re: Alaska...Its looking better every day, I might know more by the weekend...details then

Also, Cam @ IPOR is building me a dual swingout bumper and will deliver it to the round up. It'll carry the 38 as well as the hi-lift and two MFCs or a cooler. He's also bringing me a new skid plate. :bounce::bounce2: I'm trying to convince Daryl to build me a set of drawers after he finishes Kowboy's trailer set, but he wants me to check it out at the round up to be sure, and discuss ideas. Judging from his rig, I doubt there will be a problem :D

The york OBA system is done and works like a charm...about 2min to fill the take to 150psi at idle, faster if I bump it up just a bit. I guess the 7" Pulley is gona be fine. Airs up the 38s from 0-20 PSI in a little under 2mins at idle

After we get the 5 ton out and hopefully before GSMTR I'd like to get the tube fenders done...

So there's my update :clap::clap:

Sounds like it is coming together. The plan on the 5 ton is to get the trans/clutch and the T-case back in it and the brake work done then it can move out of the shop, so we can get cruiser work done. Then I'll bring it in and out to do the other work on it. I have asked Clutchee to come over Saturday, so he can be part of the AK discussion.

Thanks guys...one issue...Ashley comes home from school on Friday for the weekend;)

Might come over for a "few" hours but :princess: has to come first.

Thanks to Todd and Marius for their help. We installed the fly wheel. clutch, installed new PTO seal on transmission and reinstalled the trans., installed a new sprag unit in the T-case and reinstalled the t-case, reinstalled the rear drive shaft and the shaft between the T-case and Transmission. We tried to adjust the rear brakes put the adjusters were frozen, so we'll save that for another day along with the new air booster for the brakes, old one had a broken piston.

Congratulations. You accomplished a lot today; you must have been all business. Will it take long to get the required parts in? My next Friday off is the 1st Friday in March. A Friday would allow me to de-conflict with Melissa's soccer.
