The truck starts fine every time, then dies within a few seconds. If I disconnect the TPS, the motor will continue to run smoothly.

I replaced the TPS thinking it was bad, but I'm still experiencing the same problem. I'm assuming it's a wiring issue, but I don't know where to start?

Flash code is a 14, but I've replaced or otherwise checked all the ignition components and wiring, so I know it's not the ignitor, coil, dizzy etc.

Can any wiring gurus help me understand how the TPS system interacts with the ignition system, and what wires to check voltage, ohms etc? Or if anyone else knows what the problem is, just let me know haha

That was fast! What was your issue?
No doubt, can’t just leave us hanging like that

I chased the wires as directed by the FSM. Wiring was good (so is the new TPS), so I swapped in a known good ECU as directed. Problem solved.

I'm glad I had a spare ECU on hand.... but i guess i should start hunting for another spare haha

Having the FSM sure is handy huh? :)
