Got the FN FX PRO wheels on my 75.

And the FN Overlander Spec B wheels on my 94 (The Green Bean) and couldn't be happier. Center
hub bores had to be machined through FN Wheels to use a standard 4.25" cap. No spacers were used on either
vehicle.

Hey I’m looking at running the same setup you have on your 75, but on a fj62. Do I have to get the center bored out in order to clear the front hub?

Yes, Dustin @ FN Wheels should be able to hook you up.

The wheels did fit without spacers. However, the cap did not fit. Here is how it looked without the caps. 2015 at 1:15 PM[/GALLERY]

To be clear, you didn't have to have the Centers machined to 106mm on these wheels?

I’m shocked that this thread isn’t difinitive as to the fit of the 17” TRD Pro or the FN (f) X Pro on the 95-97 80 Series and a need for spacers/center cap compatibility.

This truck had 10 pages of flames in its F/S ad but the wheel fitment was never addressed.

Bumping for an answer. Anyone get either 17” wheel on a late 80 without boring? Without spacers? Center caps without spacers?

Put a set on my ‘97. Genuine TRD Pros that we’re takeoffs from the dealer. They bolt right up with no mods. These wheels are 7x17 and have less back spacing than other 4Runner wheels, so you don’t need spacers, but the center caps won’t fit. Here’s a pic of my 323,000 mile beater with them on. Tires are 285-70-17 Toyos. Hope this helps!

Hmm, I thought I remembered it coming up. I believe consensus is wheels fit without spacers, however to get caps on requires spacers. Pretty sure this truck has spacers but can’t find the thread.

TRD PRO SEMA 17x7 fit with or without spacers. Without you won't get center caps on, need 1.5 spacers to fit caps. I've run them both ways. All 80 series center bore are 106.1mm. Can get the the cheapest from dealer these days. I just got a 5th for my spare. TRD PRO 4Runner Wheel PTR20-35110-BK - Matte Black | Toyota Parts

These wheels only have about 1/4” positive offset. Running 1 1/2” spacers would result in 1 1/4” negative offset. At Jgrauman, Does this affect the steering and or braking characteristics of the truck? I was always schooled that negative offset was not a good thing.

Have run them with and without spacers. I felt more stable with the wider stance so I put them back on. Never had issues with steering or braking.

My wheels are slightly different but I bet the dimensions are similar. Mine are 16 inch rims, and I have 1 1/2" spacers. I had to grind a tiny bit of clearance under the center cap area for the six flange bolts on the rear- no big deal. To get the TRD cap to fit the front, I had to pry the metal off the plastic backer, cut a hole in the plastic, and build it up with foam two sided emblem tape. This gave clearance for the dust cap sticking out. The rear caps I run without the little wire retainer and have had no issuesView attachment 1106324View attachment 1106325
Those are sick wheels. Tell me about those things!! I may have to track some down man.
