A few weeks back my fiancé and I went for a drive out west...
We loaded down our Tacoma with all the goodies and camping gear we would need for a few weeks on the road. As we cranked through the miles we hit thunderstorms, sun, snow, highs in the mid 80's in the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona along with lows near zero. Most nights were spent in either National or State Parks. Most of the hidden Gems we encountered seemed to be in New Mexico in empty parks nestled up near mountain ranges.
Driving out west gives a new perspective on average speeds... I had the cruise control set near 90mph and was still passed like I was standing still a few times. Oddly enough the vehicle to fly past at full chap was a 4 door Tacoma at I would guess around 130mph?! A side note the RTT at those speeds made a decent amount of wind noise.
The West was a magical place where time seemed to stand still. I am not sure I would want to live there but it was awesome to visit. If you guys have any questions on the photos just holler!
