I'm in the process of 2UZ swapping my LC80, and I've been told by a specialist shop that the easiest method is to use a LC100 as a donor, but there are no LC100 partouts in my vicinity, and I'd hate to gut a perfectly good LC100.

So my bright idea is to take a sequoia drivetrain (2UZ-FE, A750f & accompanying t-case), bolt on a LC100 oil pan, pickup, etc. as well as my HF2A t-case from my 80 to (theoretically) get a functionally identical drivetrain to what the LC100 comes with, at least in terms of what matters for making an easy swap.

So my big questions are as follows:
1. Will the HF2A transfer case from my LC80 bolt onto the sequoia's A750f output shaft? and if so will it still be in a position that will work with the 80 or 100 series driveshafts?

2. How big of a pain will the wiring be compared to the same components instead sourced from a 100 series?

3. Is the A750f worth the potential headache of fabricating a crossmember trans mount and fitting the shifter into the floor, or would it be more worth it to just find a 2UZ paired with an A343f instead?

I haven't pulled the trigger on a donor car yet, though I've got my eye on a couple sequoias with my desired setup. I haven't entirely exhausted my search for a viable LC100 donor either, but I'm pretty firmly against gutting a good 100 series. Any advice is welcome, I appreciate anything you can throw my way in that regard, thanks!!

I may be able to help with a Landcruiser drivetrain and I'm in the state.

What trans is currently in the 80?

in another post, it is a 92 so the trans would be an A440
Ah, I was asking because I have a 2UZ-FE with the A442F trans from the 80 series so I know at least some 80 series have a trans that's already compatible with the motor

my 80 has the A440f with HF2A tcase, it works okay but i was planning to have it fully serviced since it shifts a little rough sometimes, and then sell it or keep it for a future build.

that would be great! do you mean help with installation/preparation, or with parts sourcing?

did you need an adapter kit for this or did it just bolt right up?
