Maybe 110k miles on it.

I am getting a rattling noise, for lack of better words, when I release the gas in all gears. Sounds kind of like valves when you are geared too high/going to slow.

Gears are all tight-no clutch slipping. No popping out of gears.

Definitely a bearing I think.

Thoughts?

Before you jump to a bearing, grab ahold of the clutch fork when its idling in neutral. See if that helps, i know they can vibrate and cause some worry. I ended up swapping my throughout and clutch pack and having a similar noise as soon as i started her up. This was the new problem. you can adjust your slave to press against it, otherwise put a spring on it to stop the vibration.

EDITED to sound smart

It is definitely underneath me. Rear diff was rebuilt 30k ago.

Feels the same as when my 5th gear went out in my last tranny BUT it is in all gears. That is why I think it is maybe something else but i dont know.

By rattle, I mean like shaking a can of marbles rapidly not like a loose metal part hitting another part (clanging).

Any noise while stopped and idling in neutral??

I've had that noise forever on my Marlin HD rebuild - step on the clutch pedal (input stops turning) and the noise goes away. Has anyone else noticed this? It's handled pulling 3.5k lbs cross country twice like that though, so I'm guessing it might be "normal gear noise"

That sounds like input shaft bearing noise, not "normal" but I drove my old truck pretty far like that...

Quiet in neutral OR in gear but at idle.
Maybe output bearings then...

I know very little about the tranny internals. One of the few things I have never torn in to.

Can these bearings be fixed without having to crack the case i.e. get into the tranny/remove it?

so I got up under the truck. There is considerable play at the tranny output shaft. More than I would think is normal. I can move the output shaft up and down a good bit - maybe a couple of mm.

If you are talking about the rear flange at the output of the transfer, yes you can replace the final output bearing without tearing the TC apart. There's a bearing retainer that comes off, you can get to the bearing under there.

I'll offer this: 3 weeks ago I installed an R151F turbo tranny in my truck. You probably saw the pictures. It was completely and carefully rebuilt, every bearing was replaced, tolerances were checked, gaskets/seals, etc. I even upgraded the main center bearing retainer to the billet one that Marlin sells. Same for the transfercase. I ran break-in oil for about 500 miles, then changed it to fresh Amsoil.

Guess what? It's noisy. Not "OMFG this thing is falling apart" noisy, but it's noisy, especially on coasting. Not sure what's up with that, but I'm not worried about it. I know it's fine, it's not broken, it shifts fantastic, I love the ratios. I just turn the radio up a little bit and keep driving.

Now if I could just get this damned spare W56 out of my garage...
