Thanks for the warm welcome, never mind....
:flipoff2:

I'm sorry, this is the official MUD welcome. I've been gone for 6 weeks working, flew 105 hrs in 14 days.
Just got home, and my webasto blew a coolant line just as I'm leaving on a 3 week trip to the Yukon.
That was a start, others will join in I'm sure

It's the weekend everyone's out side not checking the internet. Check back Monday night.

Welcome.... :flipoff2:

I'm in cedar, but I'm on a twice per decade wheeling pace.

Occasionally we manage to browbeat the Victoria guys into crossing the malahat for the monthly meeting , (usually Duncan) .

beer , bullshitting about cruisers etc, good time to meet some people. ( Except me, I'm on a once per year pace for attending... )

Jim seems to get out a lot in nanaimo. ( Thread--> Jim and Robs adventures )

I imagine everything is locked down right now ( or at least should be ) until the rains come back.

I think I cross the ferry more than the malahat! This summer for sure... ungh, stupid ferry!

Hey new person. Welcome and give me a ring if you want to see a few local Nanaimo Trails..

Rob

Thanks guys. I remember meeting a guy at Rivershiver in 2011, who had a cruiser shop on the island. Wondering if he is still in business.
I'm sure any of you can imagine the hurdles required for an OOP inspection.
Look forward to meeting some of you guys. I'm in a metallic beige 80 with AB. Plates, big roof rack and a pile of dents...
Eric.

Call Dan Kern
Kern Motors 250-740-5609
2211 Cedar Road

Good mechanic, kind of weird some of his stuff, but he did the post salvage inspection on my
BJ74. Basically, it has to be mechanically proper. No rust perforations through to inside,
or what might be considered structural.
If you go to the library, you can look through the inspection manual and the actual list
they use.

There's some great trails around but it's becoming more difficult to access them seems to me

Did you get a Back Roads Mapbook - Vancouver Island yet? Isn't there a meeting soon?
I'm not back for a couple weeks. Might make last weekend, not sure yet.

I haven't gotten one yet. Been super busy after moving.
Trying to make time for repairing my truck, but I might sell it as it needs more love than I am able to give right now. Which means either bring it back to Alberta or sell it here, needing an OPP.
