Trail Trailer

A few Years ago i bought one of these old German Army Trailers .
Its a 1962 but in excellent shape, ive done some usefull tuneup on it and it works really good.

The adjustable Hitch makes it possible to use it on any vehicle.

Even a parking Brake on there.

After a bit of welding and the use of a airjack, its my rooftent trailer.

The Ball hitch can be changed over to a German Army style type in 5 minutes.

Here is a photo of the M416 type trailer that Wayne Percival is building for me...

Box is 6' X 4' X 26", with tailgate and 6 on 5.5" wheels and spare. Planning on 20 gallons of gas in blitz cans, 40 gallons of water with on-demand pressure pump, 2 deep draw Optima batteries, aluminum lid with gas pistons, and roof rack for pram or rooftop tent.

Will be ready soon.

They are about 25,000 oz dollars, Exchange rate plus shipping,
import duty,ect,ect Maybe $25,000 plus us Do you still want one

Tent Trailer - M416

Here are the photos of 1967 M416 I brought from the Naval base in San Deigo last summer in 2003.
After (too) many hours of blasting, welding, priming and drinking beers, after some camping trips I am very happy with the overall performance of trailer.
The Italian-made Popup trailer is designed for the Africa trip in their backyard. It was brought thru www.loftyshelters.com which happens to be in the same town I live in!

Trail Pop Up Camper

I saw a pop up trailer in a RV magazine that's made by Starcraft, model 10RT and it was designed heavier duty with full size tires, skid plates, and looks really beefy. It got me thinking about taking my old Coleman pop-up and modifiying it to run on same tires and rims on my 94 cruiser, maybe even paint it to match. It could be fitted with a rack on top for storage, and you take it to your destination and drop it off, go trail riding, then come back to sleep very well, even with A/C if you've got electric. Ton's storage, sleeps great, tows easily, and they're fairly cheap used. It needs some good mods, like a better articulating tongue, and axle system with fenders for larger tires, etc.
Maybe I'm crazy, but it still seems like it might be a cool trailer idea.
