Who is the talent behind the gun ?? If I was a betting man I would say he is using an Iwata gun ??

Pete,

Pete is the painter. He's been around here for 30-40 years as a tech and painter. Great work. He uses a Sata for base and Iwata for clear. Not too bad for old school shop painting with a wet floor and no booth. Beats some of the best booth jobs I've seen around. Maybe another 8 hours to cut and buff to a mirror finish. Top was in Wimbeldon White and not even a ripple. We're not cutting any on it.

I stayed with him the entire shoot. I laid down the tack coat and first base but that's all I could do. Since the stroke last year I just can't keep up consistency anymore. I can still primer and lay texture but that's about all.

He was a true blessing to find and is currently with me 40-45 hrs a week. As you know painters/body guys are some of the biggest flakes around and sure is nice when you get one that is honest and hard working.

Man he's Good !! You can tell there's passion behind the gun ! Cheers to him ! I love painting too, wish I could paint more, with guys like this !! Honestly, a job that nice, does not need a cut and buff..

Hats off Gentleman !! Top Shelf Builds !

Akuma's frame is back from powder.

Once the Dobinsons suspension pieces are here I'll get this rolling and set the LS3 Erod combo.

Body is in the paint shop for Pete and I to start in once the 6x6 and piggie are done.

Scout is set on the custom velocity chassis and moved to the storage shop

Do any of you guys that have done the coil conversion have a good steel wheel that has enough offset to get the tires back where they line up with the body? So far I am rocking 80 series wheels but they stick out past the fenders a couple of inches and I'd like to get them tucked back in. Pic for reference.

I have coils in the front, leafs in the rear. I have the FJ cruiser steelie's and they fit perfect IMO. I assume you have 80 axles?
