We started at the top of Box canyon and aired down, ventured down the canyon and found a side canyon for some lunch and about a half a dozen onstacles that required spotting and mandatory slider usage. We had a great time, tackled some challenges, and found a stuck family in the middle of nowhere out the way out.

Great day and excellent company!

Great pics, if only I had a month off with pay, I've been wanting to check out Martinez or Woodpecker for sometime now..

I woosed out???, you just wait till I break out the video footage with audio of you ATTEMPTING the baby hill going up to the mine entrance. It would be in your best interest to make it to the meet on Friday, to defend yourself after I show the whole club my video on my laptop. Anything else?? ;)

Murf, msahr, and a.mus.ed, I'll burn each one of you a copy of the video I make, plus it will have all the pictures I took on it. Eric, I have your new screensaver, I would bet money on it. Its a awesome shot.

What a great time! Thanks to all for coming out and putting up with the technical difficulties (GPS reading)...

Hey murf can you get me a copy of those pics?

Things heard on this run:

"stay in the middle... remember, $1200!"

"Are we on the right road?"

"Are we on the wrong road?"

"Go Long... no really!"

"Can I have another (third) cookie?"

"Can I borrow your Hi-Lift?" (My personal favorite... what a :censor:

I'll show the video on my macbook pro at the meet on Friday, and I have something better than pics of the rescue effort, its in the video.

Or: "I should've removed my mud flaps before this trip" ...

That one is true, always remove before off road travel or they can remove flares. I also had to learn this one the hard way.:o

What about this one, "Alright, im scared". Got it on video too.

Murf was even talking to himself BEFORE the trail run about taking them off, got that little happy moment on video too.:D:popcorn:

Parking lot wheeling- I don't think I'm gonna be able to make that.

I can't be there to defend myself, so whatever Shannon says is a lie. It may appear that some of his claims are supported by "video evidence" but its...not.

:doh:RIght after it happened, everyone got real giddy and cameras were coming out of nowhere with the rapid fire of pics reserved for starving papparazzi :flipoff2:. Behind me in the picture is an unlocked gate to a mining tunnel that evidently crossed a natural spring as there was standing water in it. On the rock across from this was a painted sign on the canyon wall that said "Bad Road" and overwritten with "Jeeps Only". HA! Jeeps...:p

Although it was pretty narrow in many places...

Video picture (video didnt take due to low batteries) of Shannon squeezing through (fold in your side mirror!) and the bumper scrape from the approach. Both he and I decided that bedliner coating isnt the best material for armor items that can be scraped. My sliders are peeled up too. (FIPG gasket maker makes for good repair BTW).

Everyones passenger sliders looked like this (at least) by the end of the day. Good thing Shannon just installed his. :D
