I'm using the Cobra 75wx. Works well for a trail unit. Weather Radio channels are a nice added value. Paired with a basic external antenna hanging off the back. Pic shows both CB and Ham antennas, one on either side.

I've got the CB body tucked under the drivers seat. It's suprisingly small and fits with no issues. Plenty of power accessible there. The coiled mic cord runs up along side the e-brake handle.

For a long time I just tucked the mic portion down under the e-brake out of the way. Now have both the CB and Ham mics hanging off Nakman's custom mic clips on the console.

I just picked up the Cobra - - I will try to get it installed this week, but if not bring all the parts down. I may need more power cable, but have antennae, cable, etc. Will try to figure it out before we leave.

So here is what I got in total:

3' FIRESTICK II TUNABLE TIP BLACK
Firestik SS-3H Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Antenna Spring
RoadPro RP-8X18CL 18' Clear CB Antenna Mini-8 Coax Cable with PL-259 Connector
CONN STUD W/SO-239 CONN (3/8" hole mount)
Cobra 75WXST 40-Channel CB Radio Cobra 75WXST 40-Channel CB Radio

The power cord line is pretty short - - not sure if I should run this all the way tot he battery or just steal from under the dash somewhere.

Thinking of putting the firestik on the front bumper as I have several holes up there that would work, but not sure.
