This sounds good! I have updates to add to the CSC site but am having internet trouble so im alittle slow on getting it uploaded. I will add a page to the cleanup and will take as much info from here as I can but if there is anything else you want on it let me know. The site is down at this time also because I goofed and didn't get the nameservers changed fast enough when we changed web servers this weekend but it should be up by the morning.

Great work Bman!! I like that the FS is into this, and it will be a great start to a great relationship with the FS. I would like you to pick the next trail clean up spot ( March ?) so when we meet on Dec 4th with the FS we can get that ball rolling too ;)

Let us coordinate the amount of trailers/truck space needed before that Sat.

Thanks Rhino for getting out there for a look. I am in California and will drive back to AZ around the 1st of Dec.

My first thought is for some stuff out here near me in the Florence junction area. The trails tthat I immediately think of aren't really all that bad but they could deffinately use some help with litter P/U and rock unstacking. They are realatively short trails and a sizeable group of 6 or more rigs could probably do both trails in one day with some damned good wheeling involved also. They are not however on FS land. I believe that they are on BLM land. Unfortunately, the BLM isn't as easy to work with. They are also, unfortunately from my experiences, not very wheeler friendly. We could however simply do the clean-ups for our own satisfaction w/o recognition.

hey as long as we are active in things to keep our land use open I don't care about being stroked over it by the BLM. It is just good for our hobby in general. I am open for any clean up.

Since we are all getting together Dec 4th for this fun event, I thought it could be a good time to do some parts swapping ? I have a handfull of 40 parts I am sure someone in the group could use and I am sure some of you have the same for other models. Anyone have any clever ideas on how we could make this a multi purpose gathering ( not just collect the trash and leave)

anyone?

Good Idea! New thread coming right up.

I have never been to that area and I wanted to know where I could meet someone to fallow up there I am comming from Maricopa. Also what CB chanel are we running?

it is very easy to get to.you can take the 101 N to pima rd and go north all the way to cave creek rd, then turn R and go all the way to the bartlett lake rd,,,, OR you can take I-17 north to carefree hwy and go E to cave creek rd, then N all the way to bartlett lake rd.
i think everyone is meeting at the ranger station right there.
i'm sure though you could hook up with some of the guys comming out of the mesa/chandler area, DD will be comming in off the carefree hwy exit at I-17. so there are folks to hook up with and caravan in.
i will most likely be heading out early and meeting everyone near horseshoe lake so i can do some rock hounding in the area.

Yes we are at the Cave Creek ranger station 9 AM. sharp I could meet you Sir_Titus and anyone else who wants to caravan... at the I-17 Carefree hwy exit earlier say 8-8:15 AM

Ranger station addressHERE

A final roll call call to this thread would be helpful, along with where you are meeting. (At the ranger station in Cave Creek, or I-17 Carefree HWY exit)

We should also prepare a what we are going to do list, tools needed, from the last corespondence with the rangers, it was more graffiti and trash clean up. Is that correct Rhino ?

Grafitti and trash cleanup. The FS reps should have stuff for grafitti removal. You will need gloves, maybe a shovel and a rake, 5 gal buckets for carrying small trash. The FS will supply plenty of bags.

I NEED A ROLL CALL HERE SO THAT I CAN LET THEM KNOW HOW MANY WILL BE COMING.

WE WILL BE MEETING AT THE BARTLETT RANGER STATION AT 9AM.

Someone from the FS will then escort us all in across "the dam". This cuts the travel time in 1/2.

I will not have a CB in my truck but my cell phone is always on 602-763-0529

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST MEET AT THE RANGER STATION TO SIGN THE PROPER VOLUNTEER FORMS. THIS COVERS YOU INDIVIDUALLY AND US AS A CLUB. IT ESSENTIALLY MAKES YOU A GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE FOR THE DAY WHICH COVERS YOU INCASE OF INCIDENT.
